Count your blessings and be grateful

I know, je sais, ik weet het, na yebi...Yes it's been a hot minute since I last sat down behind my laptop screen and shared a piece of me with the world. No harm gets done by every now and then going MIA for the right reasons right?

You and I are the light of the world Matthew 5:14-16

"Make our planet great again" that was the new president of France's reply to Donald Trump after he made it publicly known that America was withdrawing from the Paris climate accord. Previous happenings such as Trump becoming president of the United States, the Brexit and diverse terror attacks that have taken place all over Europe have left many fearing for their own and  the lives of their loved ones.

The Lord commands you to love your neighbour as yourself Mark 12:30-31, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

As I spent my Saturday last week catching up and listening to what two sisters of mine had to say about the body of Christ, I got the confirmation I needed to speak up on this particular issue. I've been a witness of the unkindness, finger pointing and verbal abuse that sometimes unfortunately takes place within our community. Based on the conversation we had I came to realize that this is something a lot of not only new church members but also new born/toddlers in Christ and those who've tripped come to face. This improper conduct usually is carried out by old church members for some reason maybe because they're a few steps ahead of you in their walk with Christ or they haven't made the same mistakes as you have.

Warning : Being a Christian comes with a high price tag

Once upon a time my perception of what it meant to be a Christian was so off the rails. I used to think that once Jesus became the landlord of your house everything would automatically change into being beautiful and rosy. The sermons I would bombard my brains with was on how Jesus could deliver you from demons, could bless you with a husband and kids, could favor you into receiving that promotion you so much yearned for, could heal you from any sickness, could fix your finances,... I even thought Jesus could bring out his magic stick and magically bring my not saved ex boyfriend back into my life, change us both and give me that happily ever after romantic story I longed for! (told you I was so off the rails). Don't get me wrong if that is God's will for your life He can do just about anything but there's so much more to being a Christian than those things I've mentioned above. Before my conversion it was all about Jesus being my rescuer and the provider to my selfish needs but shortly after being saved I came to realize that being regenerated and wanting to be authentic in my walk with Christ came with a high price tag.

Being that clay in the potter's very own hands : regain your true identity in Christ

Don't exactly know when you'll get the opportunity to read this but as for right now as I'm writing this post the sun is shining ever so brightly outside my window! There's something mesmerizing about the sun that usually leaves us feeling a certain type of way isn't it? To be honest I'm an autumn and spring kind of girl I like it in between not too hot nor too cold so I'm absolutely enjoying the weather this days.

Spiritually unfit and feeling empty: Isaiah 55

Aloha my loveliesssss,

Hope all is well with every single one of you out there and like I always like to say for those who things could be better unless you haven't prayed and gone to God with your supplications in due time things will get better. Patience is a virtue so chillax and patiently wait upon God's mighty hand to come to your rescue!

I'd rather please God than men: Galatians 1:10, 1 Samuel 15:22, Matthew 25:14-30

This week as I started reading the first chapter of the book of Galatians something made me stop on this verse and take some time to really take in what my eyes read. The Holy Spirit made me understand clearly by illustrating through my own lived varies situations what apostle Paul was talking about when he wrote this verse.
